Australia sets up designated PWC riding areas PersonalWatercraft.com November 4, 2008 Shares Comments Zones intended for commercial operatorsCommercial personal watercraft operators in Queensland, Australia now have designated areas set up for riding on the Maroochy and Noosa rivers. The Sunshine Coast Council and Maritime Safety Queensland set out the designated zones. According to the council’s service delivery portfolio chairperson Paul Taton, the initiative will help control traffic on the water and enhance safety. “So many people love to get out and about on our rivers, especially in holiday time and the hiring of jet skis is part of that,” says Taton. “Clearly it’s important to regulate areas where this activity is permitted, in order to ensure everyone can safely enjoy these wonderful waterways.” Share Share Subscribe Like PersonalWatercraft.com on Facebook Comments Most Popular Remembering the Sea-Doo XP March 16, 2016 2025 Yamaha JetBlaster PRO 2-Up Review August 22, 2024 2010 Sea-Doo GTI 130 Review January 22, 2010 Whatever Happened to the Wetbike?
