Yamaha shines at Mark Hahn Memorial

WaveRunners take top two spots in 4-stroke stock class

Yamaha WaveRunner riders finished in first and second place in the 4-stroke stock class at the 5th Annual Mark Hahn Memorial 300, the longest, most rigorous team endurance race in the world.

Yamaha riders Rachel Macclugage and Jordan McClenn finished first aboard a stock Yamaha FX SHO and the team of Niky Goudreau and Lark Schmitt came in second, also aboard a stock Yamaha FX SHO.

“The demands the Mark Hahn endurance race puts on riders and their machines are like nothing else in PWC racing. The 4-stroke stock class is particularly important because it highlights the same exact watercraft products that consumers can buy at their local dealership,” says Scott Watkins, Yamaha’s product manager and former world champion PWC rider. “These wins demonstrate the world class performance customers can get from the SHO series right out of the box.”

Fifty-four boats entered this year’s race, which was held February 28 in Lake Havasu, Ariz. The Mark Hahn Memorial endurance race consists of two-rider teams lapping a 10-mile course, covering 300 miles total.
