Chinese PWC maker told to stop using Suzuki engines PersonalWatercraft.com February 29, 2012 Shares Comments Hison PWC using unlicensed Suzuki enginesA Chinese boat manufacturer has been selling personal watercraft and jet boats outfitted with unlicensed Suzuki engines. According to a report in PowerSportsBusiness, American Suzuki Motor Corp. has gone to the courts to try and put a stop to it. Jiujiang Hison Motor Boat Manufacturing Co, Ltd. (Hison) has been issued a temporary restraining order by the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida requiring its PWC and jet boats with Suzuki engines to be taken off the market immediately. The court order, according to the report, forbids Hison from selling, distributing, advertising or promoting the affected craft in the United States. Hison Sea-Jet PWC Suzuki engines mounted in Hison’s watercraft are not warranted by Suzuki. In addition to using unlicensed Suzuki engines, Hison also appears to have copied Sea-Doo’s logo for its Sea-Jet watercraft.
