2015 PWC Holiday Gift Guide Jeff Hemmel November 26, 2014April 29, 2016 Shares Comments 10 gifts any PWC enthusiast would like to find under the tree’Tis the season, maybe not for PWC riding but certainly for dreaming of a PWC-oriented gift under your Christmas tree. And while big-ticket items like performance modifications or, if you’ve been really, really good, a whole new PWC may be the ultimate gift, chances are you or your favorite gift giver’s budget is a little more limited than Santa’s. Still, that doesn’t mean there’s not something special on the following list that will bring a smile to your favorite PWC fan’s face – or your own if you’re lucky enough to be on the receiving end – come that special morning in December. We’ve made a list. Now check it twice and see if there’s something destined for a certain someone’s stocking…even if it’s your own. Kool PWC Stuff Jetski Fishing Rack ($295.00) Fishing from PWC is a growing trend, but the reality of taking along your gear – not to mention storing your catch – can make PWC angling a little cumbersome. Kool PWC Stuff offers a solution in the Jetski Fishing Rack. A universal fit for most personal watercraft, racks don’t require any drilling or modification to your boat, but are secured by adjustable tie-down straps. Each rack features a choice of two-six rod holders, high-quality marine grade stainless steel construction, black-powder coating, and is designed to hold a 54-quart Igloo cooler. Reel one in here. BlackTip Jetsports Custom Seat Cover ($85.95 – $245.95) Want to make your PWC truly stand out from the pack? BlackTip’s custom seat covers are fabricated from high-quality marine vinyl, and can be custom configured from a choice of up to 25 different colors and textures, including carbon fiber and race-oriented nonslip. Try out various color combinations for your particular saddle right on the company’s website. Deltran Battery Tender Plus ($69.95) Nothing is more disappointing than getting ready to ride, only to discover a dead battery. Keep your battery charged – and extend its life – with Deltran’s Battery Tender Plus. This all-purpose 1.25-amp charger will charge and maintain any type of lead-acid battery. It will also monitor the battery without the worries of damage that come with conventional trickle chargers. Pick one up here. Garmin VIRB ($219.99) Garmin’s making a run at GoPro’s dominance with the VIRB action camera. Encased in a rugged, water-resistant housing, the VIRB records true HD 1080p video in high-contrast detail, and lets the shooter see the action immediately on its built-in, full-color Chroma 1.4” display. Extended three-hour battery life, easy-access slider to start and stop filming, remote control through numerous Garmin devices, and a collection of versatile mounts round out the highlights. Check out the VIRB here. Bomber Butter Bombs Floating Sunglasses ($44.95) Lose a pair of pricey shades and you’ll utter enough expletives to end up on the naughty list, especially when most cool shades sink like a rock. Bomber’s affordable line of floating sunglasses, including the Butter Bomb, is the solution. Designed by PWC racer Tommy Bonacci, the snug-fitting, comfortable Bombers feature buoyant EVA foam permanently inset into the ear stems. Lose a pair and they bob on the surface, ready for retrieval. Grab a pair here. Slippery Float Coat ($122.95) Winter’s here, but that doesn’t mean some of you aren’t still riding. Fend off the chill – and enjoy the benefits of a PFD – with Slippery’s Float Coat. A heavy-duty, 200 Denier-coated nylon jacket shell lined with Type 3 floatation foam, the Float Coat features a fleece-lined collar and storm-flap front zipper to keep out the chill, as well as an adjustable interior waist belt and front zippered slash pockets. Best of all, the Float Coat is U.S. Coast Guard approved and features a handy D-ring for attaching your safety lanyard. Get a good deal on the Float Coat here. Kwik Tek Roll Top Dry Bag ($12.99) Show up at any press intro and you’ll likely see marine journalists heading to the dock with a Kwik Tek dry bag. Why? Even the best PWC storage compartments take in water, and some things – whether it’s a towel, change of clothes, wallet, or car keys – you need to stay dry. The clear version of the bag is made from reinforced, waterproof 19-ounce vinyl with RF-welded seams, and allows you to see inside to easily locate the items you want. Bags close with a simple roll-top and side-release buckles, which also create a handy carrying strap. Find yours here. Jettribe RS-15 Race Boots ($98.99) Booties are fine for casual riding, but hardcore PWC enthusiasts need more grip and support than flimsy neoprene can provide. Jettribe’s RS-15 boots are more like a supportive sneaker. The Gecko Grip soles feature upwards of 400 individual traction pads, placed to allow water to disperse. A pre-curved sole with arch support offers exceptional comfort, while the sole’s wrap limits lateral movement. The high ankle keeps out the rocks and sand that plague typical water shoes, while nine mesh flow-through panels allow for water drainage. Entry is via a convenient front zipper; dial in the fit with three adjustable Velcro straps. Get a pair here. Custom Registration Numbers (starting at $19.20/pair) Chances are your PWC sports pretty cool colors and graphics, so why settle for dull, block registration numbers that ruin your style? Boat Lettering To You offers over 50 fonts to choose from, an expansive array of standard, reflective, and fluorescent vinyl colors, and even specialty vinyls with patterns. Find one that matches your paint job or expresses your individual style, choose an outline or shadow effect, and get your finished product shipped directly to your door. Numbers come aligned and ready to be adhered to your boat on application tape. Just stick in place, press to adhere, and peel off the backing for a custom look. Design your next set of numbers here. Jet Pilot Boat Trip Rideshort ($59.95) Boardshorts are the go-to choice for warm-weather riding, but they lack the protection and support of closer-fitting Lycra or neoprene…and they’re not the warmest once the temps dip. Jet Pilot’s Boat Trip Rideshort comes to the rescue with the looks of screen-printed board shorts on the exterior, but the support and protection of Lycra within. Shorts feature 100% 4-Way stretch nylon in the outer shell, and a slick 6-ounce interior lining. A Lycra fly, drawcord closure, and zippered, side stash pocket round things out. Get your pair here.
