2005 limited edition / 215 hp supercharged 4 Tec / + Riva stage 2 performance package .
By Gerry Lieggi (Owner), Sep. 6, 2014

Had great time with it. I recently decided to buy a
Newer machine than what I had and came across
The 2005 Limited Edition , supercharged 4 Tec
215 hp stock that has a Riva Stage 2 performance
Kit installed on the machine .
Wow is all I can s...ay .. Lol what a quick responsive
Machine that so far proves to be touched on the
River by other machines similar or even brand new.
I have a issue currently going on with either
A weak battery possibly causing low voltage
During start and engine cranks over but no spark
Then you can try it maybe half hour later ...
Its fine it fires right up ... Lol ... dealer put machine
On computer and pulled codes coming up with
ECM CODES DISLAYED
**P0344. ( cam phase sensor signal missing?
**P0562 ( battery low voltage) !
MPEM CODES
P1511 occurred ... Lake water temp sensor
Circuit voltage high!
I'm not a (4 stroke mechanic )
However can someone give me some input
With this theory... Machine displayed Maintenance
Needed after start up , it ran fine but DISLAYED
Maintenance needed.
If machine is having a high voltage across the water
Temp sensor then wouldn't that be shorted out
And pulling from the voltage on battery?
Battery voltage at time of computer diagnostic
Was 12.08 that's not enough in my opinion.
So something is drawing from the battery or
Its not charging or has bad battery ?
I pick up machine from dealer with the paperwork
Showing what I listed and the dealer telling me
That nothing came up or no faults after they
Cleared the initial faults and reset them ..
Low voltage would cause no spark at start up and
During running to be poor performance due to
Not enough voltage for the electrical parts needed
To performe properly?
Would low voltage cause cam positioning
Sensor to have missing signal due to drop on
Voltage?
I like machine beyond belief and don't want to
Hurt it while running it , if it has issues that's why
I took to dealer . And they give back to me
Telling me they don't know what it may be .
Anyone with some input here ?
Since I can't purchase a scanner or diagnostic
Reader For the machine cause I've been told
That only dealers are given rights to get scanners
for the machines!
I am looking to get right back out on the water
As the rest of us do and use machine but don't
Want to hurt it cause like I said its very quick and
Riva has got the set up in my eyes.
Hopefully I can resolve this issue if no start sometimes
Get back out on the water and run with the river rats.
