2005 Sea-Doo GTX Supercharged

Super charger

This is my 2nd Supercharged Sea Doo, the first being an 2003 185 HP, which with lesst than 150 hours broke a timing Chain. No point to discus that any farther as it totaled the engine. My 2005 was bought new and aside from Wear Rings was a very dependable machine until the original Supercharger Lock...ed up with only 186 hours on it. I had to replace the whole unit and flush the oil system out pretty good sevral times to get as much dust and debri out of the engine. The new supercharger was working well but it had more noise then the original one had. All work was done by a dealer. At only 16 hours on this new supercharger it gave up again. Lost all boost and I only rode it to the nearest shorline to get it loaded up on a trailer. What I want to know is what is the problems with the supercharger systems on some of these older model jet ski's. This was suppose to be a new style unit I hadd replaced last time but 16 hours of use, and I mean just crusing time 35 to 45 mph it should have lasted longer then that. I'm 65 years old and not a racer but a very upset owner of what seems to be a Bombardier problem. Would like to hear from someone with some answers as my dealer has none to offer except the "Bill"?? 2005 SeaDoo GTX Super Charger 185

I bought this ski used with 110 hours on it,this is my 1st ski,I’m very happy with the performance of it,I belong to many ski ridding clubs,I now have about 140 hours on it,I did have a few minor issues with the temp sensors going bad,but with that said it seems like a great ski,I made sure I... checked the background Maintanace to see about the SC,it was rebuilt in 2010 with 70 hours on it,I’ve ran it like pretty hard 64 to 67 mph,my mechanic even rode it and was impressed,he did tell me that it had a few high performance parts.I would definitely recommend it,but make sure you get the Super Charger info,they say if it goes out with the original washers it can take out the bottom part of the engine.
