GTX155 2013
By Frank(Owner), Jul. 22, 2013

Pros: Decent power without the complexity and ongoing expense of a super charger. This ski will accelerate really hard and has a decent top speed.
Really comfortable - the touring seat is great, ride... is extremely stable. The faster you go, the more stable it feels.
Fabulous economy when the performance is taken into account.
Great instrumentation.
Intelligent throttle, reverse, braking - a dream to manoevure.
Cons: one big one really. The electronic trim is extremely difficult to operate in choppy water. It's located on the RIGHT SIDE HANDLEBAR and is requires several button presses to activate, while all the while trying to maintain throttle control with the same hand.
To make it worse, BRP state in their 2013 OPERATOR GUIDE on page 104 that the left hand option for the trim is available for this model. I downloaded this OP GUIDE before I purchased the ski and made sure that I could have this option. It's a really important safety feature in my opinion. Consequently I ordered the optional extra from the local dealer after my ski arrived. They found the part number, took my deposit and ordered the trim kit. They were consequently advised by BRP that they were no longer supplying this option (for a current 2013 model? - come on!!!).
Anyway the dealer refunded my deposit for the option (too late to refund the whole ski), and asked BRP to speak to me about the false and misleading advertising. BRP didn't phone me, and when I consequently phoned them, they advised me that they would not speak to retail customers at all, and referred me back to the dealer.
Do I regret buying the ski? Not really - it's a good ski, but if I was not mislead by Sea-Doo, I would have purchased one of their other models, with the Trim standard on the LEFT HANDLEBAR.
The dealer - 100%, they have been great.
BRP - BIG FAIL - they mislead me with their advertising, and subsequently refused to even discuss it with me.
I've been advised that under Australian Law I am entitled to a full refund on the ski, because I was mislead. Am I going to follow it up - NO - too much hassle. Will I deal with SEa-Doo again? I honestly don't know. Read Full Review
