2014 Yamaha WaveRunner® FZ S

Simply Awesome!

I just bought a new 2014 Yamaha FZS with the new SVHO motor this past Thursday just before the fourth of July weekend. I've owned a lot of watercraft in my day and have seen the different generations and models come and go. I'm not a racing pro or watercraft nut however, all I can say is I've neve...r seen anything like it. After I got my break in period finished I was finally able to let loose. When I first hit the throttle I literly almost fell off the back. The hole shot was unbelievable. They say 0 to 60 in 2.9 seconds. I believe it. The power and overall speed was just breathtaking! When they say "supercharged" they mean it. The whole concept of the hull and design of the ski are excellent. Again, I've had several "powerful and fast" ski's in my day but nothing like this. I’m 60 years old now and I’ve been riding a 06 vx1100 deluxe which is a great entry level pic but the FZS SVHO is a completely different pwc especially when it come to power. What a blast. I just hope it’s as reliable as our regularly maintained by 1100. Just bought wife a Kawas...aki stx 160 for her birthday and she’d prefer to have vvc 1100 back but once she gets used to it I think she’ll b fine otherwise it’s back to Yamaha VX series. There’s just no comparison the ride of the FXS is quite similar to the VX 1100 with the difference being lotsa power and very stable. Reliability remains to b seen as ski is only 7 years ol with about 75 hours. Hang on tight she’ll fly. Read Full Review
